After a 42 year hiatus in playing the piano, I started up again, literally from ground zero. I have learned more in three years than I ever dreamed possible. Christy is my teacher, my coach, and my cheerleader. She truly makes learning piano fun.
I’ve been taking piano lessons from Christy for about 2 years and couldn’t be happier with my progress. Christy is a talented and competent instructor whose lessons center around where you are as a student. She is encouraging and supportive and challenges you just enough to make each lesson helpful and fun!
I enjoy my lessons with Christy. She has the fine ability to focus on a few key aspects at each lesson, and I go away feeling that I have gained in musical understanding and confidence to play better.
Christy is great for me as an adult learner. She challenges me and encourages me at the same time. She teaches me music theory bit by bit as I’m ready for it. She also encourages me to really listen to the music I’m playing and interpret it.
As a birthday present to myself I began piano lessons. Christy helped me gain skill and confidence. I then joined a group that plays together every Wednesday night. Working with Christy surely helped me find this great joy.
Very fun and amazing. She makes music fun and interesting. She is also very excited to teach new students of any level. Whether you're a beginner or advanced, she loves helping level up your musicality. I started about a year ago and am very surprised at how much I’ve progressed. Highly recommend.

Christy Wilson is a fantastic piano teacher. I had been learning on my own for 4 years and felt as if I was hitting a wall. I started taking piano lessons with Christy a few months ago as an absolute beginner and unable to read music. Christy is a very patient and detailed orientated teacher and is very encouraging. As a mature student, I feel that I have progressed beyond my expectations through Christy's teaching style. She adapts the pace of each lesson to help me work through a difficult piece, which helps me progress quickly. She is excellent at teaching me how to practice at home.
